It's about a woman named Phoebe who gets run over by a hot dog cart and wakes up seeing a ghost. A snarky, obnoxious, wealthy ghost who needs Pheobe's help in saving her multi-million dollar company from the greedy hands of her ex-lawyer and ex-best friend. The only catch? That ex-lawyer just happens to be Phoebe's boss. Soon, Phoebe realizes juggling her hew ghost friend, hardly promising career, a wacky fiance and romantic feelings for her ghost friends nephew, could be the end for her... Now, onward to the giveaways!
Yet, I LOVE the Christmas feasts. Especially the Christmas Eve one I have with my family. I'm first generation Canadian, but my parents and grandparents all came from Poland. They are Catholic and stick to the tradition of only seafood on Christmas Eve, no meat whats so ever the day before Jesus's birth. But before the fried fish and fish salads (with mayo, its weird but oddly tasty), comes the starter. Which we only have once a year, on Christmas Eve, and is basically my favorite food in the entire world. It's called Borscht with Uszka, which is beet soup with mushroom dumplings. I look forward to this dish ALL year, and my mom knows to make me extra broth and extra dumplings for the days after Christmas.
SO! For the chance to win a 10 dollar Amazon gift-card, please just let me know in the comments, what you're absolute favorite food for the season. I will draw the winner on Dec 24th and reach out to them....

Today I'm over at Booked for the Holiday's, co-hosting with book blogger Karen Owen, for the day. Stop by for some awesome book talk, prizes and giveaways, not to mention the chance to meet some super talented authors and bloggers!
I haven't updated my website in quite a while, and that is because of the hectic schedule my life became over the last six months. However, there have been MASSIVE exciting changes during those times;
First off, Haunting Me was officially picked up by Kindred Ink Press! It was renamed to The Edie Edwards Series (those of you who read the series know Edie loved and supported this suggestion wholly) and finally, republished. The first book is already online, and I would love it if you could leave a review, if you have read the first book already. If not, I would LOVE it more so if you grabbed yourself a copy! Isn't the new cover fabulous?
Secondly, Haunting Me won SECOND place in the Readers Choice Awards this past September in the General Mystery category! I am still over the moon with this win, and can't believe it was recognized.
Thirdly, because there have been many people asking, I am finishing up the touches on the 3rd book in the series. Stay tuned...
A week before Locking Up Santa was released, a Christmas anthology entitled 'It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas' featured my short story, Christmas Cookies written under my pen name, Vivian Brooks. It joins several other short stories by talented and creative authors. It was such a pleasure working with these authors, and I strongly urge you all to look them up!
Did I mention the anthology is FREE? That's right, FREE! So grab your copy today just by clicking the cover photo below. It's sure to put you in the spirit of Christmas...
November 8th marks the release for Haunting Me's sequel, Locking Up Santa.
You can get it on pre-order for only .99 until that day! Just click on the cover image.
Join Phoebe and Edie as they try to save a dear friend from a lifetime behind bars, Lavish Looks from sinking, and making sure Christmas goes off without a hitch! Can they do it?
(Side-note; Don't you just LOVE the cover?!)
We need them. We desperately need them.
I think I may have written about this before but I'm writing about it again.
If you've recently purchased and read Haunting Me, please do me a HUGE favor and leave me a review on Amazon, and/or goodreads. Just a simple rating, or 'it rocked!', or 'it sucked!' will do.
Authors need them more than you know...and here's why;
Get Ready To Dive Into Edie Edwards Eccentric World...
My second novel is out now on Amazon!
Join legal assistant Phoebe Mercer as she struggles to cope
with her new companion, a flashy, dramatic deceased woman by the name of Edie Edwards. Read as they embark on a adventure seeking the truth in a barrel of deception, greed and possible murder.
I am so thrilled to be able to introduce you to some of the most fascinating characters in literature today. I’m talking about the leading ladies of Chick Lit—those enchanting, romantic, darling, sexy, sweet, funny, headstrong—and, let’s face it, sometimes downright frustrating—modern women who headline this fabulously fun genre. I'm sure you're going to love getting the skinny on these “novel” heroines, and who knows? You might just find your new BFF on the pages of one of these books!
Without further ado, please put your hands together and show some love for today's guest...
PHOEBE MERCER, and her ghost, EDIE EDWARDS!
(APPLAUSE AS LIGHTS GO UP ON COUCH OPPOSITE OF CHUCK)
PHOEBE: Thanks for having me Chuck...Hi everyone (shy wave), I'm happy to be here.
(Edie: Oh for goodness sakes Phoebe, tell them about yourself!)
PHOEBE: My name is Phoebe, I'm twenty nine years old, I love fruity teas and recently gave up being vegetation. I'm a legal assistant at a, actually I use to be a legal assistant-
(Edie: Don't give away the plot of my book!)
PHOEBE: It's our book, Edie...(looking at empty spot on cough next to her)
CHUCK: (Laughs) I have to say, this is the first time we've had a actual ghost on our show. It's too bad we can't see or hear her!
PHOEBE: I think its best that way to be honest.
(Edie: (scoffs) Ha! If they could see or hear me, I'd give them a show to remember!)
CHUCK: So Phoebe, tell me, tell us...(dramatically leans forward in his chair) If you where a shoe, what kind of shoe would you be?
(Edie: Simple. A patent leather, continental heel, white and black. By Kramers Shoes in Cedar Springs, circa 1941.)
PHOEBE: He was asking me Edie...if I where a shoe, I would be probably be a simple, black ankle boot. With a cute zipper on the side, or maybe a buckle or two. It goes with everything.
CHUCK: (Smiles) Sounds great! Now, What are the three items you would absolutely need to have with you if you were shipwrecked on a desert island?
(Edie: My clothes, my headbands, my-)
PHOEBE: Three things Edie, not three sets of things...Chuck, I think I would need my three best friends. Clara, Satine and Faye. We've known each other for years and we work really well together, I think we'd be able to find a way off that island in no time.
(Edie: Oh for hell's gates...(rolls her eyes))
CHUCK: Very touching answer, Phoebe...If you only had 15$ to spend on a date, what would you do? What if you had 50$? 5,000$?!
(Edie: (snorts with laughter) This ought to be good...)
PHOEBE: Oh, ummm that's a hard one for me. I'm single now, I haven't been on a date in years...I guess if I had fifteen dollars I would go out for ice cream. Do people still like ice cream? Or is that faux pas because ice cream is high in calories? If I had fifty to spend, well, there's this really cute Italian bistro in the city, by the water I went to once. I'm not sure what I'd do on a date if I had five thousand dollars...I'd probably ditch the date and use the money to pay off a loan...
(Edie: How riveting...not. You're losing the crowd Phoebe, livin' it up!)
CHUCK: Phoebe, were going to get a little bit serious here...Your best friend is asked to describe you in five words. What would they be?
(STIRRING FROM THE AUDIENCE)
PHOEBE: I think my best friend would describe me as relentless, restless-
PHOEBE: (Darts a look to her left and frowns)...a little bit naive, friendly, and imaginative.
CHUCK: And how would your nemesis describe you? (raises an eyebrow)
PHOEBE: (Makes a face) That one is easy. I'm sure he'd say I'm lazy, annoying, nosy, useless and dishonest.
CHUCK: Yikes. He doesn't sound like a very nice person if you ask me. Let's move on to our final question now Phoebe...If you could be the heroine in any chick flick, who would it be and why?
(Edie: Cruella De Vil has a fantastic wardrobe.)
PHOEBE: Cruella De Vil isn't a heroine, Edie. She's a villain. (Smiling now at Chuck) It's a toss up, Chuck. Is Pride and Prejudice considered Chick Lit? If so, I would love to be Elizabeth Bennett. She's so strong, witty, smart...but it's not considered Chick Lit is it? If I couldn't be Elizabeth Bennett then I'd want to be Bridget, Bridget Jones. She's spunky, fun and full of life. Everybody underestimates her, and I can relate to that a little bit.
CHUNK: I'm a fan of Bridget Jones myself, you know I just love her accent, it's so cheery and fun! Well, Thank you both so much for coming on the show today. (Smiling and turning back to the crowd) Let's all give Phoebe and Edie a round of applause shall we?
And don't forget, their novel, Haunting Me is out MAY 31ST via Amazon. You can find the link by clicking on the pictures below and its only .99 on pre-sale right now! Grab a copy, and join these two delightful ladies on a fun, dramatic adventure, I know I will! Have a great night folks!
